🍪 Easy & Healthy Butter Cookie

Crisp on the outside, soft on the inside—these buttery cookies are made with simple, wholesome ingredients.

📝 Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup (115 g) unsalted butter, softened

  • 1/3 cup (65 g) coconut sugar or brown sugar

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 cup (120 g) whole wheat flour or oat flour

  • 1–2 tbsp milk (as needed)

  • Pinch of salt

👨‍🍳 Instructions:

Step 1: Preheat & Prepare

  • Preheat oven to 170°C (340°F).

  • Line a baking tray with parchment paper.

Step 2: Mix the Dough

  • In a bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

  • Stir in vanilla extract.

  • Add flour and a pinch of salt. Mix until a soft dough forms.

  • If the dough feels dry, add 1–2 tbsp of milk to bring it together.

Step 3: Shape the Cookies

  • Scoop small portions and roll into balls.

  • Flatten slightly with your palm or the back of a fork.

Step 4: Bake

  • Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.

  • Let cool on a wire rack.

Tips:

  • Add cinnamon or nutmeg for a warm spice flavor.

  • You can also fold in chopped nuts or dark chocolate chips for variation.

  • For a gluten-free version, use almond or oat flour.
